This is a private day tour, meaning you get the vehicle and boat all to yourself. You will explore a dark mirror cave, swim in a secret underground pool, and watch the sun go down from a high hill. The trip is relaxing, fun, and full of amazing photo spots.

The Itinerary of Private Rangko Cave Tour

10:00 AM – Hotel Pick-Up

Your private driver will meet you at your Labuan Bajo hotel. Hop into the comfortable car to start your adventure.

10:30 AM – Exploring Mirror Cave (Batu Cermin)

First, you will visit Mirror Cave. Walk through massive rock tunnels with a flashlight. Look closely at the walls to see ancient coral and fish fossils. If you visit at the right time, sunlight shines through a hole in the roof and reflects off the rock walls like a mirror.

Best Photo Spot: Stand directly under the sunbeam inside the main cavern chamber. The light hits the reflective walls and creates a dramatic, glowing effect around you.

12:30 PM – Boat Ride & Rangko Cave Swim

Next, drive to a nearby pier and board a traditional wooden boat. Enjoy the beautiful ocean views as you cruise to Rangko Cave. Walk up a short path to enter the cave. Jump into the crystal-clear saltwater pool. The water is very salty, so you can float easily!

Best Photo Spot: Snap a picture while floating on your back in the center of the pool. Between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM, sunlight strikes the water perfectly, turning the entire pool an electric, glowing turquoise color.

04:30 PM – Golden Hour at Silvia Hill

After swimming, head back to the mainland and drive to Silvia Hill. Take a short hike up the grassy hill. From the top, you get a 360-degree view of the islands and bays. Watch the sky change into beautiful shades of orange, pink, and purple as the sun sets.

Best Photo Spot: Stand on the narrow ridge at the very top of the hill. Frame your shot so the rolling green hills and the multi-colored sunset sky stretch out wide behind you.

Bring a Change of Clothes: You will get wet swimming at Rangko Cave. Pack a dry set of clothes for the final sunset hike so you aren’t cold or uncomfortable.
